Finding Beauty in Nature | Hakone Gardens Art Exhibition 2026

I’m excited to share that I will be participating in Finding Beauty in Nature, a special art exhibition bringing together Aegis Gallery of Fine Art and Hakone Estate and Gardens for the first time!

This exhibition is especially meaningful because it celebrates two wonderful Saratoga institutions and the beauty of nature that inspires so much of our artwork. Hakone Gardens is celebrating 100 years in the community, and I’m delighted to be part of this collaboration with five talented fellow artists from Aegis Gallery.

Celebrating the Beauty of Nature Through Art

The historic Hakone Gardens offers a beautiful setting for this exhibition, with its peaceful Japanese gardens, distinctive landscapes, koi pond, and architecture. These surroundings invite us to slow down, observe the details of nature, and appreciate the beauty around us.

As a watercolor and oil painter, I have always been inspired by nature, especially the colors, changing light, and textures of the California landscape. I look forward to sharing my paintings in this special setting alongside the work of my fellow artists.

The exhibition features six local artists: Bhawna Seth, Elvira Rascov, Edward Rooks, Michelle Tidwell, Christine Oliver, and Majella Pinto. Each artist brings a unique perspective and artistic style to the beauty of nature.

Art That Gives Back to Hakone Gardens

One of the most meaningful aspects of this exhibition is its charitable purpose. Twenty-five percent of proceeds from art sales will be donated to Hakone Gardens to support the remodeling of its koi pond.

By visiting the exhibition and purchasing artwork, you can enjoy original art while helping preserve and enhance this treasured historic garden for future generations.
