Welcome to Paint Night Watercolor Class. A one class experience painting with watercolor.

As a student in this class you will need not only the motivation, but also the right materials to paint with confidence. For that reason, I decided to make this special list with all the links where you can find the suggested materials. I try to find reasonable price items and a little more expensive ones so you can decide what is good for you. I have tried most of the materials that I am suggesting in this list, so I can assure you there are good quality for the price.

Brushes

I recently ordered this set of brushes that for the price I think will work very good and if you want to continue painting in watercolor it will be a good buy. The set is called Fenorkey Artist Watercolor paint brushes. You can order this set HERE

Watercolor set

The most common and best watercolor palette that you can have if you don’t have any watercolors is The Windsor & Newton Cotman watercolor paint set of 12 colors. It has good quality colors and it is not that expensive. You can order this palette HERE

Watercolor Paper

For this class or any of other classes that I teach I recommend to buy 9 x 12 inches size watercolor paper. Cold press 140 lb.

Strathmore Watercolor paper. Buy it HERE or this other one from the same brand HERE This paper is better used for practice and if you are a beginner this is the one I recommend. However, If you want a better result I suggest to buy a better quality paper like Arches here is the link.

Additional materials

  • Two plastic water containers
  • Artist masking tape. Here is one I like, but you can also use the blue painters masking tape.
  • A board to glue your paper while you are painting. You can buy a corrugated plastic board that you can divide in half and works great as a board to glue your watercolor paper. You can buy this HERE from Michael’s. Or if you want to buy a more professional one this one is a good one HERE
  • Paper towels
